The little kitchen scale would be ideal in a messy kitchen table scheme. It comes in 4 sections, the large base, the star shaped dish supports, the dial face (not the dial) and the dish. To create a glass face try using doming resin. It's incredible stuff. Simply mix the two parts together 1:2 and then using a cocktail stick drip it onto the dial face...the beauty is that it remains raised like a dome...it's very realistic.
