18th Century Wicker Picnic Basket unpainted
This delightful picnic basket is hollow with two flaps that will open and close. To secure the flaps you will need to tie fine cotton or ribbon where they hinge.
Picnic baskets offer so much potential for the imagination to run wild. Of course there is the obvious blanket and food option with maybe a few plates and cups but the basket could be filled with all manner of items...maybe a kitten climbing out of one or some flowers popping out. The basket will tell a story wherever it is placed and whatever is placed inside.....just an empty basket by the back door could suggest a story.
