UNFINISHED 18th Century Antoinette swept Frames
I just love these frames. The chance to find a beautiful painting and then frame it is so much fun. But then you may like to paint your own work of art and have it hanging proudly in your mini gallery. Alternatively you might prefer to create a mirror to hang above a fireplace or table.
The detail in these beautitful frames is defined and will be more visible if you add a wash to your paint finish or gilding.
Tremeau French mirror Mirror with small oval 18th century
In French, trumeau is the word for the thin section of wall between two doors or windows. The word was first used to describe a mirror on that section of wall in the early 1700s. By the middle of the century, it was used to describe a mirror above a mantle.
The original trumeau mirrors were set into wood paneling, or boiserie (bwah-zer-EE), the fancy carved wall-covering of choice in the 17th and 18th centuries. Glass was an expensive resource so at first it was unusual to have even small mirrors set into the decor. As mirror glass became easier to produce in larger squares, it would occasionally be incorporated into paneling.
This lovely 12th scale Tremeau mirror measures externally 11cm high x 6.5cm wide
The large rectangluar insert is 6.7cm high x 4.5cm wide
It is sold without the mirror. TIP: create a paper template, draw around it on acrylic mirror before cutting the mirror.

These detailed and gorgeous corbels are made from resin (image shows the same design in metal) and very easy to paint. They are copies of originals with florishes of acanthus leaves and drapery.
Use them to support a ceiling feature or maybe as an ornate shelf to display a stunning vase or ornament. For me they would sit pride of place supporting an archway leading into a room.

I love the detailing of such items and being able to create laces, the rugged grip of a walking boot and the folds of the leather is just fun! Why not place a pair of boots in the entrance of your stately home or maybe there is an area in the house where shoes and boots are put away ready for a Sunday afternoon walk with the dog. However you use them they will bring a smile to the onlooker.
The average length of a boot is around 20mm long
All boots are supplied with a little box template that you can make into a shoe box.
Ornate Cherub Vase unpainted
Ornate Cherub Vase
This very iconic design of a vase with two cherubs at either end has been given a more ornate twist by creating a more decorative vase onto which they sit.
Ideal for both indoors and outside. Fill with your favourite flowers and leaves or maybe add some moss and have swan perched on it...there are two sizes available. The smallest would also suit 24th scale but also ideal in 12th scale when you only require a smaller vase.

"This monumental Boulle commode was crafted by Robert Blake, one of the finest and most important English cabinetmakers of his time. It is modeled after the legendary pair of commodes made for France’s King Louis XIV by master ébéniste André-Charles Boulle, which is perhaps the most famous and esteemed of all the treasures now housed at the Palace of Versailles. The original commodes made by Boulle inspired re-interpretations by history’s most esteemed craftsmen. First created and supplied in 1708 by Boulle for Louis XIV’s bedchamber at Versailles, the original pair was one of only four furnishings deemed worthy enough to be rescued from both destruction and sale after the French Revolution. They were placed in the Bibliothèque Mazarine at the Institut de France, where they became known as the Mazarine Commodes, but have since been returned to Versailles.

Chrome: The kit is made from resin and if you wish to create a chrome finish then an ideal paint to use is "Chrome" by a company called "Gild" There are other companies who produce similar quality paints. You could always use silver Bronze powder mixed with Ormoline. It produces the same results and the Ormoline can be used with other coloured bronze powders such as gold and bronze.
Follow this link to Ormoline

TIP: if you are using any of the above paint then be mindful that if you use a "superglue" spray activator it will dissolve the silver paint (it acts like a thinner) - please don't ask me how I know this!!!!

This delightlful little French stove, similar to our log burners, would have been essential in a 19th century home.
This model has a little drawer that collects the ash from the logs or coal and a door that opens allowing for your own lighting of imitation coals.
The model has a curved rear which is fine when fitting it into a recess but if you are going for a free standing option then the additional back will flatten the rear making it suitable to be positioned anywhere in a room.

Corgies can have strange sleeping positions. When a dog lies on their belly with both back and front legs stretched straight out behind them, it’s commonly called a 'Sploot' or “Superman position” if the front legs are stretched forward. It’s very common in puppies and flexible breeds like Corgis, Frenchies, and Labs. It usually just means they’re relaxing or trying to cool their belly on the floor.
Our Corgi is unpainted, made from resin and about 6,7 cm from the tip of the nost to the end of the feet.
