The silhouette of this table mannequin is typical for the years around 1885 to 1895. The original torso was covered in black weave muslin and presented on a round wood stand.
The concept of the wasp waist was to wear a corset so extreme that it deformed the wearers waist. As a costumier (in a previous life), and having had the pleasure of making historical corsets, I am fascinated by this social history. Clothes were cut on a stand and so the mannequin had to reflect the shape of the wearer when she was wearing the corset. This is by no means the most extreme example of a wasp waist mannequin.

In total there are 50 books (25 blue and 25 old white). All books are slightly aged in colour.
There are 21 titles of books so you will find some have been repeated. Each book is approx 23mm high x 14mm wide when made up.

Louis 18th Century French Frames - unfinished Made from resin I just love these frames.
The chance to find a beautiful painting and then frame it is so much fun. But then you may like to paint your own work of art and have it hanging proudly in your mini gallery. Alternatively you might prefer to create a mirror to hang above a fireplace or table. The detail in these beautiful frames is defined and will be more visible if you add a wash to your paint finish or gilding.

Holder 2.5cm wide x 4cm high

An iconic French kitchen item is usually painted in enamel with detailing in blue or green or red. I have shown it as aged pewter.
The wall holder comes complete with a drip tray (incorperated into the design) and 5 utensils:
Soup ladle, Spoon, Spatula, Seived Spatula and Fork. Everything that you may require when cooking at your oven range.
You can attached the holder to the wall with tacky wax (ideal if you wish to move it at a later date).
The back wall of the holder is decorated with a relief of bunnies - such a sweet scene where three bunnies are grouped together.
The set is available unfinished in the pewter finish or aged as seen in the images. The aging can vary and no one item is ever the same as another. If you prefer an aged tin but find yours a little more aged than you would prefer then it can always be rubbed with a cloth or fine abrasive to remove some of the aging.
